On the 24th of January, Waterside will lead the way

for table tennis events in the Southampton area when they run the first ETTA Ranking Point Open Tournament to be held in Hampshire.

The Waterside U13 & U15 One Star will be the first time players from the area will have the opportunity to compete in such an event without the necessity to travel long distances. The competition will not be limited to local players though as entries have been received from far and wide, which will make for an interesting event. It is planned that this will be the first of many events to be staged at Hampshire's best Table Tennis venue. The playing conditions at the Waterside Table Tennis Centre are truly excellent with lighting which exceeds the requirements for staging the Olympic Final.

The club has an enviable reputation for developing young talent and the current batch of youngsters have a high standard to match if they are to reach these levels. We look forward to tough competition with all who come to visit.
